The skin irritations are not the cancer. That's the great news!
However, Ruby has a yeast infection causing the skin problem. Dr. Wolinski put her on an antibiotic and a medicated shampoo twice a week and benedryl as needed. The problem is the cancer though. It affects the immune system so she can't fight infections like she normally would. Also with the medication she is taking for the cancer she can't take certain medicines for other problems she might have. So we have to get this under control quickly. Poor baby! I know this is a stupid statement because I am sure everyone feels this way but I HATE cancer.
