Irresponsible owners get Burmese Pythons (that can grow up to 16 feet) and once they get too big they release them into the wild. It's a huge problem in Florida right now. They're just looking for food especially because they had been fed consistently in captivity. Don't blame the snake, blame irresponsible pet owners. I just don't ever let my dogs outside unattended even if it may be safe.
Suffocation normally isn't what actually kills, it's actually heart failure from the stoppage of blood flow. Sounds horrible, but it isn't the snakes fault. As a little dog owner AND a big constrictor owner, I must say they need to ban just anyone from owning big snakes! |
