Remy is a case in point. He also became very itchy... I have since eliminated all chicken and beef from his diet. Big difference. He eats NV Raw - Rabbit, Lamb, Venison proteins. Occasionally when I still homecook, I give him fresh salmon, he also likes rock fish (striped bass), or buffalo.
One final comment. I used to use BioGroom oatmeal shampoo thinking this was best for his skin. I have to say, I think it made the issue worse. I now only use shampoos that are made from natural oils (example: Dog Whisperer Natural Dog Shampoo Chamomile / Lavender... this is not the only brand, but it is a good example and among those I've used). These shampoos have little "sudsing" action for those of you that may love the suds... but for Remy the natural oil shampoos seem to be much better for his skin. Also, I do an apple cider vinegar rinse on him
Good luck! | I had no idea, I thought it was best to use because it was so expensive. Thanks.
