Oh, before we knew Ellie had liver problems, she had a couple doses of Advantix and did fine. Then last winter she got fleas and I used Frontline Plus. Now I only use something if I see fleas (works well for us) and her vet likes Frontline, so I go with it. I wouldn't have a problem using plain Advantage though (but that is only if I see fleas).
