My son found a little 3 pound Yorkie crossing a four lane hwy., stopped, picked her up (it was raining) and brought her home. It was a day after Y
Thanksgiving. She had a collar and a tag with her name and phone #. I called the # but left a message. (the phone # was up in the bay area, so I figured her mommy was visiting down here) I then called the police to let them know I have her in case anyone called, and then called the shelter and left a message. The lady was visiting her sister and they went out shopping leaving her dog and her sisters dog with the teen agers to watch.

While the teens were running in and out, the Yorkie got out. Anyway the woman called the police and the shelter. Her new answering maching wasn't working right so she had a friend break into her home to see if there was any messages and they found mine.
So, maybe if you haven't already, I'd call the police and the shelter. I'd be out knocking on each and every door from morning till night, taking notes on who isn't home so I could come back. Did you guys check reallly close on the ground all the way around the fence? Could he have climbed up on something and over the fence? And if so, into which neighbors yard would he have gone to? There is a lady who has a bloodhound who finds lost pets. Maybe you could find someone like that before the trail goes too cold.
You could call this place and ask if there are anyone in FL. you could contact.
