I hate snakes for this reason I would worry about the size of a snake. I have read not to long ago about a large snake killing a toddler girl. It was the mothers boyfriends snake and when he awoke to find the snake out of it's tank it was too late, he had already kill the little girl and began to swallow.
We don't have snakes of that size around here unless they are a pet.
