I've been using Otomax but will be asking my vet about Tresaderm if we ever get another ear infection again. Morgan's was bacterial, not yeast based and no ear mites. I ended up using the corn starch in order to get the gunk out of his hair since I had plenty of that available and it worked like a charm! My guess is, baking powder would have worked just as well. I
