 How old was your yorkie when it was potty trained?
I'm getting very frustrated with potty training. When I take Chloe out to use the potty she just wants to sniff and play. I can't wait outside with her forever. I sometimes leave her in the backyard and come in to get something done (lunches for school, go to the bathroom, throw a load of wash in, etc...) but she won't go to the bathroom unless I'm standing outside with her. Or sometimes she'll squat a few times and I bring her in and within 10 min she's peed in her crate or on the floor. She has no real schedule in her potty times. I thought by now they could hold thier bladder for a couple hours? During the night she usually does ok but still has accidents. We are already taking her out once or twice overnight and also right before bed and first thing upon awakening. What am I doing wrong? I see no light at the end of the tunnel and it gets me even more frustrated. |
