I am not sure I understand this. Doesn't the size of dogs vary from region to region and from year to year? Sometimes I see bigger yorkies in the ring and sometimes smaller ones. Just because a bitch is oversized does not mean that she can't produce nice smaller offspring if bred properly.

Also, when it comes to size you have to consider more than just how much a female weighs. Females yorkies seem to be like many of us women, when we are younger we are lean and then when we have children we get that middle aged spread. A female can be within standard but once they are bred and have pups they can easily go above standard size by a couple of pounds. You have to consider the whole package.
