I just got a new little girl last night, and her ears aren't up yet. Her littermates ears were all up, though. I picked her out a few weeks ago because of her personality and she was so alert, so I stuck with her. I will do what I can to help her ears go up, but if they don't, it really doesn't matter.
I got my first yorkie, the late great Barkley, as a rescue. His first year was pretty bad, so I know he didn't have any special treatment and his ears were erect, even though they were REALLY long. You can see from this pick how long they were, even though he is wearing a bunny mask. It was a wonder that he was able to get them up at all! |
