If you start with a quality bitch, buy stud service... the results are a product of both breeders..what you get from the product and how you breed it will help you set your type or line. I feel it takes another generation, usually two to set reliable type.

Some feel the results of two Yorkies of any bloodlines bred together become their line.
What you actally produce from the RESULTS of the first breeding is yours.. This is where it is tricky..there are those who feel they can produce a male from two purchased Yorkies, buy a bitch and the pups resulting are their line...or buy a show potential or breed potential and put their kennel prefix on it and it is a new line...means nothing to me. I always look at who is in the pedigree, not the end of the lead. Simply a matter of opinion.
