I think it depends on the dog. My first Yorkie Newman was neutered at 6 months old and NEVER marked accept for outdoors. Now, Beans we rescued at 6 months old and we had him neutered right away and he marked for about five or six months then seemed to stop, BUT will occassionally still lift his leg on something and that's in the house and outdoors It has gotton a lot better though and he only does it occassionally.
