How do I know if Harleys hair is a 'cotton' coat? When he wears clothes, usually he has the 'mats' of white fuz on his chest and they are sooo difficult to sort out. Yesterday I just wanted to cut the burrs out of his hair rather than pick and comb them out bc they were hurting him and me. BTW I want his hair SHORT.. Like a puppy cut on the face but the rest needs to go! lol He's always a mess no matter how much I groom him. He loves to be this way I think but as soon as he's covered in burrs or mud he just limps around (he had an exceptionally sharp burr trapped right in the middle of his pads on his front left foot) and follows me until I groom him. Which makes NO sense bc he struggles to get away while I'm doing it most of the time! I think I'm going to have to experiment with the scissors, clippers, buzzer and see what works the best. And if in the end he still looks TERRIBLE I'll have to resort to searching out a great groomer or buy him some very BIG sweaters! lol
