I have heard this for years and so much better to breed to a good quality champion stud and pay the stud service. There just seems to always be good champion studs around. A lot harder to find a great quality champion bitch. If you look at the ones being Specialed - the champion males out number the bitches always - out there any given year.
It is not about quantity, but quality.
