Zoey loves them both. The JR squirrels are easier for her to chew on but the Regular ones are fine too and she plays with both. I will say that while she will grab them out of the trunk in the JR, she does not tend to play alot the trunk itself.
The Regular one, the trunk is almost her favorite thing (tho she does love to run back and forth and 'trade' squirrels with me). But I, like others, let her play a little with it but then I remove it because I don't want her to hurt herself.
I guess this will all vary depending on how you play with your little furbabies and your furbabies themselves. All I know is, we love them here. So much so, we have the hide-a-bee and hide-a-bird hidden away from xmas.
