I have always used the hairdryer for the same reason.
I get a towel along with everything else I need to groom them. I also put a towel in the dryer while I'm bathing them. When I get them out of the bath I wrap her in a towel, and towel dry her a bit then I get the nice warm towel out of the dryer and wrap her in that one and take the wet one off her. While still wrapped I put her in my lap and clip toenails, shave the tips of her ears, and clean them. Then I lay her on my bed or the couch all bundled up while I do the next one. Then when she gets to that point I take the first one and shave her bum and her girlie area, and brush her(by then she is almost completely dry) Let me warn you though they will run around like a mad dog for a few minutes first..
