So true! I have been helping an elderly lady with a yorkie that lives in my Dad's senior building. She gets 1100 from SS and nothing more her rent is 830 so you can see she is in bad shape. I decided to take over the financial care of her yorkie as I am not ready to take another one on physically. The day I took him (Nikki a 13 year old rscue she got 2 years ago) to the vet for his shots I got an unexpected check in the mail for close to the amount of the vet visit. Then the vet said his teeth were in horrible shape and had to all come out, his owner just sat there and cried as she knew she couldn't afford the 500 the vet charges. So the vet agreed to lower it to 450, use 50 from a client who lost their dog and donated 50 to help someone who needed it. He also was going to make am exception and let her make payments. I said I would help as well. The next day I got a check for 450 from the flight insurance I had taken on our recent trip to Arizona and had to cancel and reschedule, so Nikki will be getting his dental done next week. So I truly believe that when you help other you will get something in return, usually the best feeling in the world knowing you helped someone. And that's all you need!
