My Romi is almost 2 years old and has a nice coat, and can grow long but is dry as well. Its like a ... fluffy frizzy dry. He atually is part Maltese, but I read they have a silky coat too. I do shampoo and condition and rinse very well. Its dull and has no shine. I read on another post that it could just be genetics. but if it could be something else, I would love to hear it. He is also on a good diet of high quality food (Wellness) and as a treat I give him a little grease on the bottom of his bowl with the food once a day.
Also while I am thinking about it, how much food should a 6 pound dog get a day. The bag gives ranges but they range from like 3 pounts to 12 pounds, 1/4 cup to 1 cup. Some days he seems to eat all day and others he doesn't finish what I give him. I average about 1/4 cup, twice a day. what do you think?
