Twalla god bless you for opening your home to the little guy. He looks like he is a sweetie. Maybe he comes from a home where they couldn't keep him or afford his care anymore and they let him loose. That would be my thought as to why if the lady put up fliers all over and no one contacted her.
I would think he is a bit older than a couple months because of the size of his teeth. Those look like big boy teeth to me. I think maybe a two week span to keep him if you can't find his family. I think by that time though he might have grown on you. Sam will come around eventually. It's cute watching him trying to get him to play with him.
