Of course I can not guarantee anything! It will depend on the size of your little one and I guess how much he really wants to stick his head in it. All I know is that Zoey does not try to go further than her nose in the small one (called a Jr) but seems to relish being stuck in the regular size one.
FYI: They have a regular size one, a smaller one called a Jr, and a large one called a Jumbo.
Regardless, I do not leave this toy in an unsupervised area. Meaning, I am always at least in close proximity of her when she plays with these type toys. When I leave her, she is contained in the exercise area in the master bedroom that does not have these toys. (We live in a three level townhouse and she is a bit spoiled, with exercise areas on all levels)
