I agree, her coat will be fine. I, too, had to cut Rily's puppy coat off because of matts at 4.5 months. I like him short, so I will probably keep it that way, but his coat is beautiful now....so soft and silky to the touch...I love his light, silky head. I believe their coat is in their genes and has nothing to do with cutting it too soon, JMO.
