I totally understand your reasoning with being in the service. My son did 3 tours in Germany and it was not an easy life, let alone he would not have had someone at his place to care for an animal for weeks. Let alone, they kinda went wild on leave over there. With all that said, I commend you on not putting your beloved baby through something like that. I know my little girl would not be able to handle it. Please post some pictures of her.
