I'd always read that you should be taking the temperature several days before her due date to be keeping track of her temp (plus, you never know when she could have them- possibly early, though not likely with a first litter). My girl didn't mind me doing it though, or at least didn't act distressed in any way. So yes, maybe it's different for different dogs; the last thing you want to do is stress her out. My gir'ls belly had dropped approx. 2-3 days before delivery. But the temperature was also on it's way down at around that same time. I noticed your girl's temp. hasn't dropped significantly yet, though I've been told sometimes it doesn't always do this. My vet told me not to rely on the temperature drop, as it doesn't always happen. You never know, I guess. Every dog is different.
