Hi. If you are interested in adopting you can try the Staten Island Shelter. Many times I've seen Yorkies or Yorkie mixes in there. Also Pet adoption: Want a dog or cat? Adopt a pet on Petfinder. Type in your zip and the breed of dog and it wil pull up al available in your area. Please, let your girlfriend pick her dog with you. It's a nice thought but that person who the dog is for should be the one to meet the dog and see if they click. Good Luck, Elaine
