Nala was 4 pounds when she was spayed and we were told not to feed her after midnight. If you're worried about feeding her so close to surgery and hypoglycemia, you could give her some nutri-cal instead of food. We got a few onesies and a blow up collar. We only needed the onesies and never even needed the cone. The night we got back she was very out of it and calm...at bedtime however, she was back to her old self!! The next few days we gave her pain meds w/ sedatives in it so she wouldn't be too bouncy and tear her stitches.

Good luck I called my vet twice during the day and my husband also called once to check up on her
