Default A trip to the animal dermatologist

Hi Everyone!

I took Junsu to the Animal Dermatologist yesterday. The doctor thinks it is vasculitis. He thinks it's maybe the penicillin shot that caused the infection on his skin. Junsu got that shot when he got neutered on Oct 1, 2009. His rabies shot was given on June 28th so the doctor thinks it's most likely the shot from the neutering. My bill was huge. It was over $500 plus I have to spend money on the medicine too, but I am very happy to spend it since I want Junsu's skin to get better. The doctor said his hair will grow back. Thank god! I was so worried. I will update everyone about the biopsy in 5 days.

The doctor did the biopsy on Junsu and gave him stitches. Junsu is only 3 lbs, but the cut was even worse than the neutering. They put in two suture cuts. It made me a little mad because I didn't think they need to go that far, but they are highly specialized so I guess. The vet tech told me that Junsu will have a little scar, but his hair will cover it. maybe I shouldn't let them do the biopsy? they said they needed to do it to find out what it is to have the best treatment. My baby's skin looks so stitched up.

The doctor gave me 3 medicine to cure the vasculitis. One is an antiobiotic and the other one is a cream for his skin. The third medicine I will receive by mail so I'll let everyone know what it is once I get it.
