Sorry i can't offer any advice really. My boy will be 6 months old on April 1. He has free run of the house and he behaves himself really well when we are not home. I leave food and water for him. He does his business on his pee pad. usually when we get home he is sleeping on the sofa. He was very easy to train to potty. I would probably suggest maybe putting him on a floor with no carpet. With his food and water and keep him enclosed in an area. Oh also a pee pad. But then if he does have an accident it will be easy to clean up and then you won't get mad!!!! Good Luck to you!!!!
