Default Kidney Failure

Hi all I am new to this site and just really need some support. I rescued an older yorkie about 2 years ago that was abused. She has been the highlight of my life for the last 2 years. She has been there with me through a separation and has traveled everywhere with me. Now she has kidney failure. She started vomiting on Saturday and on Sunday was just laying around. I took her to my vet first thing Monday morning and was given the diagnosis. I had to take her from my regular vet to the emergency vet last night for her to be monitored. I've read many of the post on here about kidney failure but have not seen any that had seizures associated with them. My vet is telling me that she is having the seizures because her calcium levels are low. Has anyone heard of this before? I'm now waiting on the word to see if she will be coming home tonight or back to the 24 hr. vet. I really can't take losing her but don't want to see her suffer. She really is my best friend. My vet hasn't really given me an answer to how long she can live with this disease just that it depends on how bad her kidneys are. So do any of you know that because she is having the seizures we are at a really bad point or is this just one of the symptoms? I can't imagine having to put her down it would absolutely kill me but how do I know if she is suffering. I got her to eat some turkey this morning but not much. Any advice would help.
