Well, hmm, ya know...if it were me and he checked out this well at the vet, and poos were good but he was boney...I think I'd tend to just let him be my guide for now. Guess he has some catching up to do.

When you say he was "on his own", did you rescue/find him? If so, he is so lucky! Well, he's lucky no matter what actually!
