Well once, when we were living in Lake Elsinore, there was a traffic stop (heaven knows what for, it was 10 in the morning!) and I saw the checkpoint, and I was like crap! Uni get in your bag! Of course she didn't and I didn't want to make it too obvious, so I just drove up to them. She was crying to get the cop to pet her and say hi. Good thing he was a nice dog lover. He just said, Oh puppy don't jump out!
What if the driver doesn't have the dog in the lap, like if my bf is driving and Uni is on my side? but not strapped down, do you know? Last thing I need is a ticket, but the last thing I can afford is a car seat
