I haven't been saying much because I didn't want to jinx it,,,,, but.... it looks like we are going to have babies before Christmas. On my recent trip to Michigan, I took Rainbow to breed her with Wrenee's Gizmo. After several failed efforts, we ended up taking them in to the vet and doing artificial insemination. So it has been a waiting game. It is funny how you really notice things when you have been gone for a week. We just got back from our week long cruise and I immediately noticed that Rainbow has a "full" tummy. I mean to anyone else it wouldn't be noticeable because Rainbow is always so skinny. Now she has a normal full tummy. AND she has had morning sickness for the last few days. According to the calculations she will be due on Dec 7th. woo hoo!! We are hoping to get something show worthy from this breeding.
Gizmo is a perfect compliment to Rainbow and has a wonderful pedigree with some great lines. Thanks Wendy for trusting me to help carry on his lines. What gorgeous babies they will be!
