Ok, so I just picked up my baby Wally last week. He is my 4th. I am in the dollar store today and I was looking at the dog toys and there was a rope toy that I thought was too big for my guys so as soon as it leaves my hand this woman picks it up. I say to be friendly that it is too big for my guys. I am so proud of my little Wally I tell her that I just got him last week and he is 2 lbs. She asks what kind is he. I tell her a yorkie. She then says,"oh, did you rescue him/". I said no I bought him. Her whole demeaner changed and proceeds to tell me that there are plenty of dogs in the rescue place and they really would love a home too. I'm like what?? Now am I supposed to feel bad because I chose not to rescue a dog??? I donate money, towels, newspapers, and toys to my local rescue. Am I now a horrible person because I chose to buy a puppy???
She really made me feel like crap. I love my 4 to the end of the earth and I was just trying to tell someone that I have a new puppy!!!
