nope they don't get anything on any part of furniture. occasionally the stuff they are pulling off (very skin like) gets stuck in their teeth or on the roof of their mouth. they are very safe 100% digestible material. and they are not sticky. they do smell kinda funky, but AMD's have the least smell of any my aunt's tried so i just trusted her about them and bought them from

hope you try em' they are fantastic baby sitters and keep Sadie busy for hours while i rest or do other things...but you have to supervise at all times!!
