Well Let me just tell you that- HE HATES CRATES!!!!
He barks, whimpers, and it's almost sounding like he's yelling OMG.
I have no problem leaving him out of his crate except for my cat snarf. His litter box has to be out, and I am scared that by leaving my little guy out of the crate when I am gone is gonna provoke him to get into snarf's litter box, and possibly eat his fecal matter.
He noses it already when I am there.
His obsessive barking is really annoying and pretty soon I may be hearing it from neighbors already.
I am lost, I thought they love being in crates.
The damned cat loves it more than Cobain does.

Try making the crate interesting & fun. Put a treat inside & let him enter to get it. Do it frequently over a couple of days. Also, put some of his favorite toys in with him. You could try a bully stick or stuffed Kong if he's not too young for them.
