Ok. So my little guy has been having problems with diarrhea. He appears to loose control of himself(he was trained and used to only go outside). Sometimes he will shake before and after he has these attacks. His poop is really liquid like. He hasn't lost weight, gotten dehydrated, or show any other signs of sickness. He is still very active, mentally alert and happy.
It started in September, and we had some medication for it (mild antibiotic for about a week). As soon as he was off the medication the diarrhea started again.
We changed his diet to chicken and rice, and that appears to stop the diarrhea, but as soon as he was back to normal food, it started again.
We took him to the vet and he was given a de wormer and antibiotic. He was tested for giardia and it came back negative. We switched him back to chicken and rice diet. The diarrhea stopped for the time he was on the antibiotic, but as soon as he was off he got it again....so this is where we are now. Going back to the vet again, but does anyone have any ideas on what is happening? Could he have Irritable bowel syndrome? Thanks so much for any input!!!!
