EARTHLINGS - narrated by Joaquin Phoenix. I believe it can be rented at Netflix, but I don't think Blockbuster has it. I own it and may be open to lending it out...
You can watch the full film on the website, but the quality isn't the greatest...it is *not* easy to watch, but I feel like every human being should see it.
