My puppy, Kayla, just went into her first heat about two and a half weeks ago now and she'll be a year on the 24th of this month. I'm not real sure on what's standard for Yorkies, but that's when mine had her first heat. She showed all the signs, bleeding and swelling. She's my first and only Yorkie.
