I'm not a Yorkie expert, but after having the little guys teeth cleaned we noticed a huge difference. I've heard Yorkies have teeth that need more attention than some other dogs. If he has bad breath or smells near the face, that might be a good indication a visit to the Vet is in order.
If you ever have any questions about your little guy, a visit to the vet "promptly" is good, even if you think it is just a normal thing for them.
