I decided to leave the answer to fate. I was watching our hockey team play Stockton, Calif., on TV while at a local bar. Since Stockton's jerseys were pink as a fundraiser for breast-cancer research, I decided that if our team won, I'm right to shun pink. If Stockton won, I would buy Jillie a new pink wardrobe.

Well, it was touch and go for a while. We blew 3-0 and 4-1 leads and went in to overtime tied 4-4. There was no scoring in overtime, so we went to a shootout. I was nervous, not just for our team but at the thought of having to dress Jillie in PINK.

Fortunately, the Aces, otherwise known as the team in blue, came through in the shootout and won the game.

So there's your answer, straight from the gods of fate themselves.

Besides, dogs are colorblind. Only girls dress their girls in pink.
Okay, you win. Actually, I used to be a Pinkophobe. Then I thought to myself: What is my problem with Pink? It's a color. My male dog is in full coat. I got tired of explaining to people that HE is a HE! When I got my females,(currently growing their full coats) everyone thought they were boys. So, I went to Pink! Pink harnesses and leads for my girls, and a blue harness and lead for my boy. Well, needless to say, that didn't work, even after I explained it a few times. You know, the pink is for girls, blue is for boys thingy. Long hair overrules all.

My problem with pink: I used to think it was unnatural. But if you look around, it's everywhere. I don't know how many pink flowers there are, and I've always liked flowers: all colors even the pink ones. Since I've gotten into photography, I've taken many shots of sunrises and sunsets, especially on the water. Of course, there's a lot of pink in those shots. There's even pink sand in the Bahamas! How could I be against something so natural? So I slowly began accepting pink into my life. It's not worth fighting it. Just learning to choose my battles....

I'm thinking too: Only girls dress their girls.

Oh, and congrats to your team winning!
