Hello all,
Just found this great site. Myself and my parents have had yorkies for many years now. At the moment my Mum and Dad have Ford, a little boy who is 2 1/2 years old now and I have Shelby and she is 7 months old (I am a car nut hence the names)
Shelby (7 months old) is the black one and Ford (2 1/2 years old) is grey.
However I have a question about my little devils...
Now I always thought there were only two types of Yorkie. Minature and Standard (please correct me if wrong). I have always thought that Ford was a Standard but you might be able to tell from the pics that Shelby is slightly larger than him. I have had them both on the scales and Ford is 7lbs with the hefty Shelby weighing in at 12lbs
She is a thicker set dog and her legs are a lot thicker than Fords.
Can anyone tell me is this normal? She is not fat and is only 7 months old. I also thought she might have lost her colour by now?
Cheers
Avril
