I've had accupunture myself that was helpful, but have not had it for an animal before. It might be worth checking into tho. At least ask questions to see if vet could help with this.

Went to a pet expo yesterday & picked up a brochure from a vet's office who does it. Didn't know we had one here in town who does it. Says treatments can be anywhere from 10 seconds to 20 minutes depending on the situation. Multiple treatments may be required. Positive response is generally seen after 1-2 treatments in chronic cases. Tapering off of appts gives greatest amount of symptom-free time elaspses between them. The booth was so busy, I didn't get a chance to talk to anyone there. Have no idea of the price.
