I have a male yorkie who is 9 months of age. In the last month or so, he has developed some kind of snorting or? He sounds like a goose when it begins, but it only lasts a minute or so. Is this reverse sneezing or could it be some kind of respiratory problem? Could he be gasping for air? Can the vet prescribe some kind of medication for this irregularity? It seems to come upon him when he gets excited or plays too hard with his sister.
I have heard so much about yorkies and collapsed trachias, could this be the problem? I used to live in California and thought it might be allergies, but I recently moved to Florida and he is still having the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
