Was worried because he got a bit cool. tried to keep him warm while we worked and mom was all over him when we put him back with her. With all the licking she has bee doing and moving around I have not been able to tell if she delivered the last placenta yet. Will have to keep close eye on mom! |
It's best if you can get her in to the vets in the Morning for an Oxytocin Shot....that will eliminate any fear of her retaining a placenta and causing infection that can kill her. Also it will help bring in her milk.
Try a warm blow dryer on the pup to get it warm.
For mom, if you have Goats Milk on hand....1 12 oz can with equal parts of water, 1 tablespoon of Karo and 1 egg yolk well beaten.....this will perk her up right away.
Good Luck, I know you're tired, but your night is not over yet....
