Star Natural alternatives for flea problem

Hi, I'm new here, but want to impart some things I've learned from trying to eradicate fleas here. I'm VERY wary of chemicals. A friend's dog had seizures from a spot-on (Frontline or Advantage) I DID find a shampoo that kills fleas on contact- I bathed my dude and saw the little buggers die right in front of me. The shampoo is DeFlea by Natural Chemistry. They have a spray for bedding, etc. too- you can spray it on your dog too but it makes the fur kindof like Dippity Do would do to your hair. I recommend spraying day or two before a bath. You can use it every 3 days and it's safe to use with spot ons, if you choose to go that way.

I called a holistic vet's office and they said that if I DO use Frontline to use half the recommended dose on the pkg and it'll still work, but to try it if the shampoo doesn't do the job, as a last resort. Holistic vets don't go for chemical treatments unless absolutely necessary OR over-vaccinating.
