Mike have you tried these clips? Elastics can be impossible- but you can get these in WalMart- tons of colors | Thanks, everybody! Marci  , I actually bought a bunch of those but they kept falling out. But perhaps now that her hair has gotten longer, they might stay in better. I'll give it a try, thanks!
