Mmmmm, where to begin..... I'm assuming you have either cable or dsl for your internet. You'll definitely have a modem, that will be the box that the phone or cable line goes into from the wall. If you have another box between it and your computer, then you have a router. If you have a router, give me the brand and model number from it and I'll check to see if it's wireless or not. If you don't have a router or your router isn't wireless, then the only way she'll be able to get on the internet with her netbook would be to disconnect your desktop from the modem and plug her netbook into the modem.
