The vulva should be soft and enlarged and the female would have a clear gooey discharge. Her breast were most likely be enlarged also. Do you know how much this female and the sire weights? Breeding these little dogs can be really risky and your neighbor could easily lose her female if she is pregnant and has complications during delivery or after delivery. Please tell your neighbor that she needs to get the little girl to the vet if she thinks she is pregnant. Momma yorkies need lots of help and special care during the whelping and the rearing of the pups. If you neighbors finds out that her yorkie is pregnant then she needs a crash course in whelping pups. Is your neighbor home during the day? If the yorkie is pregnant then she should not be left alone when she is getting close to delivery. Right now your utmost concern should be for the welfare of the expectant momma so please try to do your best to encourage her to get help. You can always consider later if you want a pup if there are any pups and if they survive. Please keep us posted.
I really havent looked to study her as far as that goes I didnt want to get to personal with it since she isnt mine, the dogs are really little, the female is about 3lbs and the male 5lbs and from what i have read I know that isn't good, I read something about that last night so I am also worried about the female being too small to have the babies she more then likely will only have one but I do understand that she should not have bred her being so small, she is 2yrs old a the male is 1yr I believe. How would I bring up the subject of care w/ her though, I would feel kinda rude to just ask her how she is going to take care of her. she doesnt even know when she should be having the puppy/puppies.
