It's been my experience that if you have a sack breaks and no puppy within an hour, you need to get to the vet because for most of us that would be another hour and after 3 hours, your puppy probably isn't alive anymore. After the puppy dies it starts to rot, (not to mention it's holding up the passage for the other puppies). There is a reason that this puppy didn't come out and it's probably too big to pass through the birth canal. Your first instincts were right and that would have been and still is to get to the vet/hospital as soon as possible. I hope your girl is ok. I have seen people that wait too long, all pups die and the dam dies from septicemia. I will pray that your girl and pups are ok. Please let us know.
