IF her body shows sign of infection, or if she doesn't go back to normal in size than they can do a procedure that would be like a DNC. Because it occured before the bone calcification of the pups her body is able to reabsorb. The vet said some may have reabsorbed before others, there is no way of telling. We are only guessing at the time of her lose. He did say that her left horn was already going down in size, it was her right horn that was still filled. He even mentioned that he has performed c-sections on moms before that had mummified pups from previous pregnancies that didn't work. Of course since we have seen the xrays we know that she wasn't that far along. I just hope she is able to heal ok, and there are no illl effects.
