Is it inhumane of me to have a dog AND go to work all day? My building manager is saying that he thinks it is, but I swear there are people out there who do it. Are those dogs at some sort of disadvantage healthwise or personality-wise? Do they suffer? If so, I am going to give my puppy to my aunt when I return to work full time. I don't want him to suffer.
I would say, get your baby a little sibling! That's always an option. I would say it depends on how long you're gone from home. Most of the time, your baby would probably be sleeping. I go to school from 7 a.m. to noon and when I come home, my baby is still sleeping (she greets me at the door and then goes back to sleep).

Does your baby have any separation anxiety issues? If your baby does, you want to start training to get him used to you leaving. My puppy only cried the first 2 days I left for school and then she was fine. But some puppies really go through a tough time. You can also buy a Kong so the puppy will have something to do during the day.

Good luck with your baby and with whatever you decide.
